How Colors Affect Your Customers And Employees

When you are considering contacting a commercial painting contractor to have your business interior painted with a new color, this type of decision should not be taken lightly. The color that you choose can have an impact on how your customers feel when they are in your business and can conversely have an impact on your sales.

Red

If you would like to create a sense of urgency with your customers, consider using red. Red stimulates the body and can raise your blood pressure and heart rate. Those who see red are more likely to be excited and passionate.

Orange

When you don't want your business to feel too corporate, consider using more oranges. Orange is associated with fun and lightheartedness. It's a great color if you are marketing products to children. Darker shades of orange are associated with autumn and give your customers a more earthy feel.

Black

In contrast with orange, if you want your business to feel more mature and sophisticated, choose black. Luxury brands often use black. Black is also often seen as being sexy.

Yellow

Yellow is a color you should use carefully. It can make customers feel happy, but some shades of yellow can look dirty. Other shades of yellow can be too bright and hurt your customer's eyes.

Blue

When you want your customers to feel peace and tranquility, choose blue. It might not be the best color if you are running a restaurant because it tends to reduce one's appetite. If you want customers to feel a sense of trust in a product, use blue. There are certain colors that tend to turn people off, but blue is a color that is the most likely to be accepted by customers.

Green

If you need your employees to perform creative work, consider painting the interior of your office green. Green has been found to boost creativity. Also, if you want your workers to be more productive, paint the walls green.

Pink

The right shade of pink can help your customers feel calm. This might be useful in situations where customers are more likely to be upset or angry, such as if your business is involved with handling customer service complaints or if the business serves a medical purpose.

White

White is a very common color, but it may cause customers to feel bored. One interesting effect is that white causes customers to become more contemplative and are more likely to become distracted from your products.
